Declutter Embeds in Notion#319

Hello, embeds used to work really well between Komodo and Notion, but more recently there’s a prompt to log in and branding above the video which has made it cluttered enough that I’ve stopped using the functionality. Are you able to revert it back to the previous experience where the video was just embedded with a play button? It was so convenient to just record a video and past the link into Notion and have that all happen seamlessly.

I’ve attached a screenshot of what it looks like now, where it’s confusing for a user to even see how to start playing the video initially

Thanks for sharing that. We will look into it. The branding should not interfere with an embed so this is an issue on our end.

We tested this, please try to use the embed code of the video instead of the url. It should solve the problem.

I tried copying the embed code and pasting it into Notion, here’s a screencast of that, it seems like it just pastes in the actual code into Notion instead of rendering a preview. Also, the process flow of just pasting in the link that Komodo puts into the clipboard and being able to paste that in Notion to show the preview was prime

The previous issue of OneTap appearing in embed should also be fixed!

Ah yes the workaround works pasting the embed code into the embed option in Notion! I also tested placing just the link again and the prompt to login is gone so thank you for that!

It might be enough of an improvement where I just continue pasting links and using the embed option that pops up in notion because it’s so convenient, and hopefully over time you can still fix the formatting so that the video takes the whole space of the embed window
